I completed my hairdressing and make-up artist diploma in 2005, after which I worked at a top hair salon and make-up studio in Pretoria. In the beginning of 2008 I moved to Cape Town to continue my career and build on my experience as a freelance stylist and make-up artist, working in the bridal industry as well as in the fashion industry. I also obtained my image consultant certificate while I was there. Having moved back to Pretoria, I am running my own hair and image studio, and continuing with bridal hair & make-up.

You need to book a professional hair & make-up artist for your wedding day at least 3 months in advance. I also recommend that you start collecting pictures from magazines or the internet so I can have a clear picture of your style, personality and ideas! You don’t have to know exactly what you want, just an idea, I will advise you from there!

I strongly recommend a trial 2 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding date! It is very important so that I get to know you and your style and you can get to know me! At the trial, we will take all the time needed to ensure that you are one hundred percent satisfied and comfortable with your look. As an image consultant, I am able to help you choose the best hairstyle for your face shape and hair texture, give my suggestions on hair colour, and decide on a make-up look to best suite your personality as well as the theme of your wedding, also keeping in mind your skin and colour tones. We will also discuss what your bridesmaids have in mind, so that I can be fully prepared for everyone. Accordingly, I can then work out a time schedule for the day.

On the day, I will arrive at your venue of choice 15 minutes prior to the time we decided on, to set up. I will start and finish with your bridal party first, so that they are ready to help you in any way. I will then start with you about 2 hours before the time your photographer wants you ready, so we have more than enough time to get you perfect. I make use of only professional products to ensure that your make-up and hair remains perfect through the whole day and night. I also take special care with all the prep and prime, using special moisturisers and primers, as well as adding skin illuminating products to give your skin a healthy glow. I also go the extra mile with the application to ensure long-lasting make-up. The same applies for your hair, I only make use of professional hair products to ensure your hair stays in place, and still looks natural through out your special day!

I then stay to help you get into your dress, put the veil on and do touch-ups before you leave to get married.
